Day 43, Sunday, 2-12-12 Love those numbers!!

Cody, Merica, & Sam "baby-sat" for Mom today while the rest of the family went to the church services at Calvary.  Cody wanted to play in his room, and the rest of us watched a DVD called Auto-B-Good: Fruits of the Spirit.  We saw 4 segments and learned about gentleness, joyfulness, faithfulness, and goodness!  After we were done watching the DVD, singing the songs, we prayed, and then we colored our basket picture of fruits.  The verse we read is:

Galatians 5:22-23

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temerperance: against such there is no law."

)The kids really got into coloring the picture, and after we put our pictures on the refrigerator, they wanted to watch the rest of the episodes.  The kids seemed to relate to the lessons, and be able to understand the concepts--which,  of course, was my hope--applying it to their lives! (and while they watched the rest of the DVD, I got to watch the live feed from Calvary, a good reminder to be careful how we use our everyday speech...hmmm...being kind & encouraging....sounds just like one of the lessons we learned in our Church At Home today!!)

Cody enjoyed his coloring book; wearing pjs made by Joyce Herman, while I listened to the Gettys on the DVD Ken & Shi Ford gave me! Sam wanted to take a "nap" with Mommy today! I think the draw is more the TV than Mom

Meika was talking about Mrs. Connie who did her hair, and wanted to say HI to her, and wanted her to come over in her van!

 Simeon so loves his buses, and this red bus is a favorite!  He also is rather obsessed with the DVD Polar Express--it's OK with us, as it occupies him for several minutes at a time!

Mahree needed a box for a "Duck Land" project she was working on, and her kitty-cat, Tink-Addy jumped in the box, and wouldn't get out!  Mahree said that Tink-Addy is heavy!!!
